“When home in Ireland on a break from my busy football schedule I always try to find time for a few rounds of golf at Rosslare Golf Club where I was lucky enough to be accepted as a member a few years ago. In addition to the excellent courses and facilities it is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the hassle free environment and it is reassuring to know that I can bring my friends there with confidence that they will enjoy the same experience.”

“This challenging links course is set on a peninsula which leads to panoramic views on both sides of the course. I find it an ideal location for a relaxing round of golf whenever I’m home. I was delighted to become a member of the club in 2011, and I plan on playing the course as often as I can.”

“Event 4 in the Winter Series was held on the links at Rosslare GC. These were real winter conditions – wet, cold and the breeze picked up as the day went on – but the weather didn’t keep the top golfers away with 48 visiting teams making the trip.

Rosslare as always was a fantastic host highlighted by the fact that every visitor was presented with a complimentary green fee voucher to return to enjoy this great links later in the season.

The golf course was in great condition, particularly taking into account the heavy rainfall of the previous few days. The greens in particular lived up to their growing reputation for being amongst the very best links surfaces in the country.”

Rosslare Ranked Number 1 Golf Course in Wexford

Played on a lovely early spring day. Memorably started watching a solar eclipse from the car park while getting the clubs out of the car, very quite and unbelievable value with friendly staff and members.  Very enjoyable golf on a traditional out and back links reminiscent of Wick, or a flatter Goswick, if you have been lucky enough to play either.  The greens were absolutely outstanding quick firm and true whose new cups (crisply cut with whitewashed inner edges, why don’t more courses do this) and flags, were representative of a very well maintained course.  Excellent turf, allowing fifty yard approach putts and very generous hitting areas made for a great warm up off the ferry.  Would happily come back again, great fun… Dan Hare March 2015

Tom and Rob Dawson – April 2015

Rosslare Golf Club was in great condition – a classic traditional seaside loop layout, the greens true and the turf springy and ideal for the controlled iron shots that the course demanded.   Again the views were superb, and the weather was a little calmer this time, which was just as well give the International standard layout (there was an Ireland-Wales boys game there the day we played).  The clubhouse was traditional and welcoming, and so close to the hotel that we could have walked back.  We had a great time, a great way to start the golf season.  Thanks very much for setting everything up so well.

Ian Fitzgerald – February 2012

“We played in last Saturday’s Top Golfer outing and while we didn’t score too well we all really enjoyed playing your fabulous links course. Not only the course, but the welcoming manner and your facilities are first class. We had visited the course the previous week for some essential practice and found the greens to be the best links greens we had ever putted on. The work on the bunkers is magnificent. Your green keeping staff should get great praise for the condition of the course. We told everybody at home to take a visit to Rosslare as it compares with some of the great Kerry links. We have travelled to play golf all over Ireland and played a few times in Scotland and believe me your course would not look out of place in the home of golf. As members sometimes you lose sight of the beauty of the course you play every day, but for me I don’t think I’d ever tire of playing Rosslare. I am a former captain of Raffeen Creek Golf Club in Cork (2008) and have a great passion for the game. I would like to wish you and your club all the best and I hope to re visit you soon.”

Heinz Rieger – Toronto, Canada

“Playing Links courses like Rosslare is so very special. We do not often get a chance like this. Our game today was perfect (not the score!), but the weather and the company. It is so easy to see why so many people enjoy the game, a game that can be played well into a ripe old age.”

Michael Taylor – Toronto, Canada

“One cannot but feel the warm welcome when you come to Rosslare Golf Club. The members, the management, the staff all make you feel at home. All this and a wonderful Links course that will delight the golf purist. We will be back!!!”

“Having been brought up in the area, I joined Rosslare Golf Club in 2008 and would have to say I enjoy every minute I spend there. Whether I visit for a casual round during the summer evenings or play in the week-end competitions the sense of relaxation and ‘getting away from it all’ is second to none. The amenities, club atmosphere and welcome extended to all members and visitors could not be better.”

“I would once again like to put on record my sincere thanks to your committee, greens staff, bar staff, locker room staff, caterers, club professional and everyone concerned for their help and co-operation during the running of the recent Emerald Mixed Pairs Classic, with a special word of praise to your good self for your excellent co-operation and assistance on our visit to the club. The success of this tournament lies not only in the golf element itself but also in the fact that so many new friendships are cemented during the course of the event in which your club plays a huge role. I look forward to organising many more events in Rosslare in the future.”

D. Buckley – Cushendall, Co. Antrim

“I wish to thank you and your staff at Rosslare Golf Club for the hospitality, service and friendship extended to the ‘XVI CLUB’ during our visit to Rosslare. Everybody found the course challenging but very enjoyable. You have a great welcoming atmosphere at your club and this does matter to visitors. Our group came from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Scandinavia and left Rosslare on Friday very satisfied customers indeed.”

Sec South East Region, G.C.S.A.I.

“On behalf of the South East Region of the G.C.S.A.I. I would like to thank Rosslare Golf Club for hosting our recent outing. The members thought the clubhouse, grounds and golf course were immaculate with the service and welcome exceptional. Many members commented on the quality of the greens on a day when most other courses in the country were closed. The warmth of the staff from the office to the bar took the wintry feel from the day and the quality of the meal served by the restaurant ensured that members arrived home fulfilled. I would be grateful if our appreciation could be passed on to appropriate personnel.”

“I would like on behalf of the society to thank you, the committee members and staff of Rosslare Golf Club for a wonderful day for our President’s Prize. We were made feel welcome from the moment we arrived and this greatly enhanced everyone’s enjoyment of the day. I would be grateful if you would extend our gratitude to the Captain and the committee and also to all of the staff members for all their help and cheerfulness. I hope the Society will have the opportunity to visit Rosslare again in the not too distant future.”

T. Coghlan

Hon. Sec., The Clongowes Union Golfing Society

“Sincerest thanks again to you and all your members for another very successful outing to Rosslare Golf Club on the occasion of our President’s prize. As you are aware this was the fourth consecutive year we have hosted this event in your wonderful club. We had a record number of golfers this year, which is solely attributable to the huge popularity of the venue. We are always warmly received and made feel most welcome in your club. Once again thank you for your friendly and co-operative assistance in organising the event and I look forward to dealing with you again. Please convey our gratitude to your Captain and members.”

Director of Golf, Princeton Golf Course, Minnesota,USA

” I enjoyed an unforgettable round of golf at Rosslare Golf Links in Co. Wexford. This is a classic links course in the mould of St. Andrews, especially the New Course. As with any links course you’ll need to keep it on the fairway or you’ll pay the price. But the fairways are generous enough for players of average ability, so long as you can navigate through the pot bunkers. The greens are well groomed and true, but offer various challenges with slopes and steep rolls.

If you are taking the ferry from Pembroke Wales, to Rosslare, You’ll be on the doorstep of Rosslare Golf Links. I recommend a side trip there. You will enjoy it.”
